This is part of a series of prints that were born out of a recent larger commission based on the canal, its boats and riverside views. I've taken much of the inspiration from our local river Lea in Hackney, recent boat trips and woodland walks.
A seven colour multilayered print using paper stencils adding colours and shapes to each layer to get the balance to where I think it's just right.
Printed with translucent fabric inks so there is a fluctuation in the surface colours and application which adds unexpected textures and tones to the overall print. Registrations of the layers was very loose so each print has its own personality!
Packaged in newsprint and rolled into a strong cardboard tube.
It's recommended to remove from the tube as soon as possible and flatten out with a board and heavyweight before framing/hanging.
Also available in a digital print format both in A3 and A4 sizes printed on to Fabriano Accademia 200gsm - £18/£12.
